Gina Kramer, LMFT
-
Gina is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT #41417) with over 25 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, individuals, and families. Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with connection—feeling seen, understood, and supported in a safe and compassionate space.
She maintains a private practice in Napa, where she provides therapy services and clinical supervision for Associate Marriage & Family Therapists. In addition to her private practice, Gina has an extensive background working in the nonprofit sector, bringing a broad and inclusive perspective to her work with families and communities.
Gina holds a graduate degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from University of San Francisco and a post-graduate certificate from University of Massachusetts Boston’s Infant-Parent Mental Health Program. She has specialized expertise in infant and early childhood mental health (ages 0–5), as well as deep experience working with school-age children and adolescents.
Her approach is active, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs. Gina is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), offering hands-on parent coaching to strengthen relationships and support positive behavior changes. She also provides developmental assessments for young children, helping families better understand their child’s unique strengths and challenges during critical stages of growth.
To support deeper healing, Gina integrates evidence-based approaches including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), LENS neurofeedback, and clinical biofeedback. Her work blends these modalities thoughtfully, always guided by what will be most helpful for each individual or family.
In addition to her clinical work, Gina is a respected presenter and educator. She has led trainings and workshops for clinicians, educators, and parents on topics such as attachment and bonding, early childhood development, the impact of trauma, positive parenting, and effective family communication.
Gina’s style is warm, engaged, and practical. She works collaboratively with clients to build on their strengths, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.
When working with children and adolescents, Gina places strong emphasis on the role of parents and caregivers. She views therapy as a partnership, offering ongoing guidance, feedback, and tools so that growth continues beyond the therapy room and into everyday life.
